Going into this track I had no idea what to expect. It’s always a joy when someone reaches out and wants me to discuss their record, so when Manor Records reached out I couldn’t say no! Dylan Pyles is a musician and songwriter from Kansas City. Currently, he releases music as a solo artist and plays in a KC-based hardcore band Canyons. Pyles has been active in the KC music scene since he was 16. He has played in a variety of bands and released music as a solo artist for over a decade. His current projects range from country-tinged singer-songwriter tunes to instrumental guitar music. Aside from this solo project, Pyles is also a manager and record buyer at Mills Record Company and co-owner of Wise Blood Books in Westport, KC.

I’m glad to say “The Patience Required” was a pleasant surprise and it gets better with each listen. If you enjoy indie-folk, I have no doubt this will be your jam! Shoutout to Manor Records, and shoutout to Dylan. We can’t wait for the album, that supposed to drop the 28th! 👀
