First things first…
A huge congratulations is in order to A’Sean and Walt. You two are making waves and creating avenues for many to come!
The Seven Days - EP is the latest effort from Kansas City, MO duo A’Sean and Walt. The project takes you through multiple emotions, from mourning and grieving over a lost friend to proclaiming love to a lost lover. This project screams growth to me. I’m so glad these two finally sat down and put together an extremely solid project.
STAND OUT TRACKS
“Taz World” (2:25)
My personal favorite track. Taz World takes a familiar hook and flips it as the duo describe their fallen brother. As A’Sean says on the track “Bring the tissues dawg”. Taz World is the perfect blend of soul and emotion. RIP TAZ!
“Solo” (2:51)
The single from the EP, Solo shows off Walt’s smooth voice and A’Sean’s cleaver world play! If you’re not familiar with these two Solo is a great place to start!
“Language” (3:08)
Even though Love On Tour shows experimentation, I feel the last track Language does it sightly better. This track sees Walt take the lead on a groovy funk beat. Shoutout to A’Sean for sliding on this beat like he did.
IN CONCLUSION…
I like I said above The Seven Days - EP is an extremely solid project. These two well rounded artists clearly have chemistry. Walt’s production has reached a new level, as well as his songwriting ability. This project is the perfect soundtrack to Spring time. With a running time just over 18 minutes, this project gives you a lot while also keeping you wanting more. I’m extremely excited to see what comes next from this pairing, and if it’s anything like this project, we’re in for a treat!
