📺: Jujutsu Kaisen - Season 1 REVIEW

First things first…

Jujutsu Kaisen was honestly the breath of fresh air that I needed in my Shonen anime, from the amazing animation, fantastic characters, and epic fighting scenes this show is my favorite anime from this year and I’m excited for what they have to offer next.

THE PLOT

(Minor spoilers ahead)

The main character of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji Itadori eats the finger of the evil cursed spirit Sukana and is captured by Master sorcerer Gojo, Gojo tells Yuji that he can either die now or help them find Sukana’s nineteen other fingers and help protect the world...and then die. Yuji accepts the offer and begins training to become a sorcerer and capture cursed spirits which are basically lost souls that slowly turn into grotesque monsters.

STAND OUT CHARACTERS

I would definitely have to say Gojo and Sukana are my favorites in the show so far, Gojo plays the Kakashi role for Yuji Yuji’s Naruto and helps him hone his skills as a sorcerer, Maki and Panda also are given time to shine as side characters.

IN CONCLUSION…

Jujutsu Kaisen season one is absolutely amazing and one of the best anime of this year, if you are a fan of shows like Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Naruto then JJK is definitely the show for you. Season one is complete right now and you can watch the show on Crunchyroll (sub) or HBO Max (dub).
